I am honoured to have been elected as the Island's next MP. I am grateful to the 38,190 people who voted for me.
But I will now serve all Islanders, irrespective of who they voted for, or whether they voted at all.

* This is the highest Conservative vote (51.3%) on the Isle of Wight for 47 years, since 1970.
* It is also the largest majority (21,069) for an Isle of Wight MP for 84 years, since 1931.
I also congratulate Julian Critchley on a strong performance for Labour.
My work as the Island's MP starts now.
