My opinions on HS2 are well known: I was unconvinced that HS2 represented the best way of relieving existing pressure on the rail network and generating new capacity. I was also unconvinced about the journey-time, environmental and economic benefits of HS2. However, the decision has been made and therefore I need to focus on current and future issues.
